Lettaletta kids clothing started in 2011 in Plettenberg Bay, inspired by making shorts and long pants for my little boy, using materials I had in storage. The outcome was more than expected with parents and friends wanting the same style in different materials. Soon I was busy with Pinafore dresses. Searching materials for the South African market, I turned to original and recycled Shweshwe, 100% cotton, strong and durable in different colours each with they own authentic African like print.
I design my own garments and focus on a comfortable and loose fit, for boys and girls, both suitable for summer and winter.
I entered for the Knysna Oyster Festival, pop up shop, where my clothing was approved and sold out. From there a stall at the Hakerville Farmers Market which quickly expanded. I now have my own beautiful shop located in Plettenberg Mall and I use local ladies from the Crags to sew.
